Ragweed allergy can affect more than your nose. During heavy pollen exposure, some people develop intensely itchy, watery eyes while also feeling unusually tired, mentally slow, or unable to concentrate. These problems can occur during the same allergic episode, but they do not arise through exactly the same biological pathway.

However, significant or persistent cognitive changes should not automatically be attributed to pollen.
